Scuderia Estoras Ignites the 2025 BC Karting Championship at Area 27

The engines fired up, tires hit the tarmac, and the 2025 BC Karting Championship kicked off with a bang at Area 27 Kartplex in Oliver, BC. With an incredible lineup of drivers, including Teagan and Patrick Kleine, Dan Montiero, Trey Arzen, Madison Hanson, Devon Radosevic, and a special appearance by Marco Kacic, our team arrived with high expectations and left with heads held high, podium trophies in hand, and lessons learned.

Thursday & Friday: Preparation and Precision

Our journey began on Thursday, with the team focused on track familiarization and data collection. For some drivers, it was their first time on this unique layout. Every corner, curb, and braking zone became an opportunity to improve. The team worked closely with coaches and mechanics, analyzing lines and telemetry, while adapting setups to an evolving track surface.

By Friday, the testing intensified. Grip was still elusive due to cold temps and a “green” track surface, but progress was being made. Driver focus turned to tightening up technique, hitting consistent lap times, and extracting the best from their karts. Spirits were high, and the paddock buzzed with anticipation for the battles ahead.

Saturday: Challenging Conditions Test Our Resolve

Saturday brought qualifying and the first two heat races—and with it came difficult conditions. The temperature hovered just above freezing, and snowflakes even flirted with the circuit at one point. The track offered little grip, and everyone struggled to find pace in the slippery, unpredictable conditions.

Despite these setbacks, our team showed incredible determination. While we didn’t get the ideal starting positions across the board, the resilience and adaptability of our drivers stood out. Saturday tested us—but we knew Sunday was when the points really counted.

Sunday: Sunshine, Redemption, and Podiums

And then came Sunday—a new day, a new track surface, and a fired-up Scuderia squad ready to deliver.

🥇 Marco Kacic – P1 in Rotax Tag Senior

When the pressure was on, our team principal stepped in behind the wheel and reminded everyone why he’s a multiple-time champion. In a grid packed with elite-level drivers, Marco piloted his Compkart to a masterclass win, pulling away with surgical precision and unmatched race craft. His victory wasn't just a result—it was a statement. The boss is still the boss.

🥉 Teagan Kleine – P3 in Jr II Briggs

Teagan had one of the standout performances of the weekend. After a stellar qualifying and heat performance, he lined up P2 for the final and wasted no time taking the lead by Lap 3. Just a few laps later, a racing incident saw him punted off track—dropping him to the back of the field. But Teagan wasn’t done. In a thrilling display of heart and hustle, he charged through the field and crossed the line P3, earning a well-deserved podium. That’s what we call championship grit.

💪 Devon Radosevic – P6 in Tag Senior

In a deep 21-kart grid filled with seasoned drivers, Devon put on a fantastic display. Starting P7 in the final, he kept his composure, executed clean overtakes, and brought the kart home in P6—a career-best drive that proves he’s got the pace and poise to be a front-runner all season long. We’re proud of you, Devon!

🔄 Patrick Kleine – P6 in Heavy Briggs

Patrick’s weekend was a tale of persistence. After battling setup gremlins throughout practice and the heats, the team finally found the sweet spot for the final. He started P7, but a rough launch dropped him to P10. Rather than panicking, Patrick focused forward, overtaking one kart after another and securing P6 at the flag. A strong finish to a tough weekend.

📈 Dan Montiero – P12 in Tag Masters

Dan had one of the most difficult times of the weekend. Plagued by a difficult setup all through Saturday, Dan kept working, experimenting, and troubleshooting. Just minutes before the final, they landed on the winning setup. Dan then went out and drove a focused race, climbing positions and finishing in a solid P12. This weekend was a big step forward for him—we’re excited to see what he brings to the next event!

🔧 Trey Arzen – P11 in Briggs Senior

Trey came into the weekend facing a triple challenge: a new chassis, new tires, and a new track. That’s enough to overwhelm any driver—but not Trey. He took the weekend as a learning experience, adapted quickly, and drove with maturity beyond expectations. His P11 finish out of 22 competitors is just the beginning of what’s to come.

🌱 Madison Hanson – P14 in Briggs Senior

Madison was in the same boat as Trey—new equipment, new track, and a steep learning curve. But she embraced every moment, improved every session, and crossed the finish line in P14. More importantly, she showed drive, discipline, and determination. Madison’s got talent, and this weekend was just the start of her rise.
